Okay Y'all,
Savory time. I haven't intentionally only picked sweet recipes. I love all food but when its time for me to make another post I tend to be craving dessert... But it's dinner time and all I can think about is chicken sandwiches.
THE CHICKEN
I know, I know... this is random and totally unhealthy, buuuuttttt the crew and I are hungry.. and crispy chicken sandwiches are the "cakes" that we can eat too. I googled best chicken sandwiches in the area and these are the restaurants that came up. Chick-Fil-A, JCW's, Popeyes, and Wendy's.
THE RESULTS
CHICK-FIL-A
So Chick-Fil-A was already a fan favorite so it may have been a little biased.. But we couldn't find anything wrong with the sandwich. The chicken was packed with flavor, it wasn't dry, it almost melted in your mouth, they don't even put sauce on the sandwich, it didn't need it. It was delish. This one got the most votes and left the others in the dust.. Almost.
(some people don't like Chick-Fil-A because of the overwhelming pickle flavors etc. If you are looking for a different flavor this next sandwich is a good option.)
WENDY'S
Wendy's is obviously another classic, but this chicken sandwich has a great homestyle taste It savory, and juicy with a very classic chicken sandwich feel.
So if you are looking for a good and cheap sandwich wendy's is a great choice!

POPEYES
Popeye's chicken sandwich is very southern (which I do love). You can tell its buttermilk chicken. It has yummy spices, it has a nice mouth feel, and it even has a very delicious tart and crispy pickle to give an added crunch. I thought this was a delicious chicken sammy, but alas it wasn't the chosen chicken.

So, the JCW's line was terribly long, and that probably resulted in us having a slight grudge against the sandwich.. but on the menu it didn't tell us it was a grilled chicken sandwich.. It didn't even stand a chance. We opened the sandwich bag and immediately got sad. No breaded chicken here. This resulted in a judgement far worse than it probably deserved.. (no good ratings in this house).
