Hello! Happy Spooks Season Y’all!

Before we go any further I want you to turn this song on and then read the rest of this post.

The Monster Book of Monsters... Spooky!!
Okay did you turn in on? Good, because let me tell you it is worth it! As many of you know
I have been writing this blog about the best foods on the internet. I have taken the top rated
recipes on the web and then making them, following the recipe word for word, then trying
them out by having family and friends try them to tell y’all what's best.

This week I did something a little different. Typically the recipes I use have thousands
of reviews and are all up in the high 4.5-4.9 out of 5 ratings. Well this time I just took
the recipes that had complete 5 out of 5 stars. This meant they had less overall reviews
but every person who reviewed them gave the recipe 5 out of 5. I felt like this could be a f
un change from the typical, and it was!

I had been looking for suggestions on what to make when my mom practically begged me
to make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. I’m all about pumpkin flavored foods but sometimes
I get bored of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. After some gentle nudging if not constant
nagging (love you mom) she convinced me that this would be the perfect opportunity to find
the best pumpkin chocolate chip cookie recipe!

Let me tell you guys… I found it. I was utterly bewitched by these cookies. (just like the
song you should be listening to!) I’m serious, these cookies were like magic. They were
packed with flavor and the overwhelming winner. I had over thirty people try these cookies
and they were gone within minutes. Literal minutes.
The recipe that blew everyone away from the blog Cooking Classy.

This recipe called for the most spices and brown sugar, but let me tell you they were
soooo good! They had the classic pumpkin taste, that was so good in every bite! These
cookies are totally worth making, if you need a fall recipe for a party I highly recommend
these pumpkin chocolate bits of heaven!

One of the other websites I got a recipe was from this blog: A Family Feast!

I messed up a bit on these cookies, instead of adding semi sweet chocolate chips I just added
dark chocolate chips, and they changed the whole flavor of the cookies. They were good but
they didn’t have as much of the pumpkin spice flavors that you associate with Pumpkin
chocolate chip cookies because they only had cinnamon in the recipe. They were a little
bland compared to the other cookies.

YUMMYY
The last one was from the blog: Dinner at the Zoo.

These cookies were good as well, and  they had more pumpkin flavor due to the pumpkin spice
mix that was added to the cookies, but they didn’t have the rich flavor, and spiciness that makes
you want to eat a plate full of cookies in one sitting.

All done!

  1. Seriously, can't wait to try these cookies. I'm a huge fan of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies! I feel like your blog is such a reflection of you, and that, for me, is one of the things that makes a successful blog. I noticed that you are doing all desserts. Is this on purpose? I would love to see some main dish comparisons, because you're right, there are so many options ot choose from!
