Brownie Town
Okay, to be honest... I love boxed brownies. I have made so many different brownie recipes
in my life time, some at home, some fancy ones in culinary school, but honestly my favorite
has always been the amazing box mix brownies. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it's
the flaky tops… or maybe it's when they are still gooey and fudgy . Maybe it's the fact
that all you have to do is add like.. Three ingredients. I don’t know.. But what I do know, is that I
now know what the best boxed brownie mix is.
THE PROCESS
It all started with my desire to write another blog post but not have something too difficult to
make. (because I'm a busy college student obvi.) So as i’m pondering my options I think about
Ghirardelli double fudge brownies have been one of my go to things when I'm in need of a quick
fix for sweets. When I realized that I was thinking about boxed brownies the lightbulb went off in
my head. So, rushing to the store, I bought three different double chocolate, or double

fudge brownie mixes. I made them at my grandma’s and lo and behold, she had another,
brand of double fudge brownies at her house. So this week, I’m talking about

HERSHEY'S DOUBLE CHOCOLATE
(good thing I have a lot of friends and family who vote for me). Hersey’s double Chocolate
brownie mix took the literal cake.. Or err, brownie for this “challenge”. What people seemed to
like most about these brownies was that even though they had the same fudgy texture, and
the same amazing chocolate taste, they weren’t too rich. They were nice and full, but they
didn’t overwhelm you with the flavor.

dark chocolate lingering in your mouth. People really liked these as well but they were a
little overwhelmed by how chocolatey they were. So if you’d prefer a darker chocolate brownie
try these ones!
(Found basically anywhere)
DUNKIN HINES DOUBLE FUDGE
These were a little different from the rest. The were to be made in it's own personal pan, and
other brownies but I really enjoyed their added chewiness. They were completely delicious, but
out of all of them they were the darkest chocolate brownies. So if you want a smaller shared
pan, and you lack some ingredients these are a good option.

LEHI ROLLER MILLS DOUBLE FUDGE
Lehi Roller Mills brownies were the most different from all of the other ones, their texture was
lighter, not really cake like but significantly lighter than the others. They too had a light
chocolate flavor, and I may have over cooked them because they were a little on the dry side.
They are a good option for all of the people who aren’t as enamored with chocolate as I am.
(found at Harmons, and Smith's MarketPlace (maybe at walmart)).
Alright y’all, I hope you enjoy your reading and I hope you enjoy your brownies!
Until next time
